Medical Professional: How we neutralized a coordinated SERP Attack

The problem

A London-based medical professional in rhinoplasty faced a coordinated online reputation attack. A dedicated subreddit created specifically to defame the client was ranking #2 for their primary search keyword, directly alongside another Reddit attack thread at #1.

Google’s AI Overview was absent entirely, leaving the SERP raw, unfiltered, and dominated by uncontested accusations. Anyone searching the client’s name + “scam” was met with two Reddit attack results with zero counterweight. There was no owned infrastructure, no entity signal, and no narrative control.

Methodology

Full SERP audit mapped every controlled vs. uncontrolled result across page 1

Structured content and citation strategy designed to activate a positive AI Overview.

40–60 directory profiles built and optimized across high-DA platforms.

branded articles across Medium, Vocal.media, Substack, and other authority platforms.

Branded subreddit created as a direct counter-signal, targeting the Forums & Discussions section of Google.

Ongoing monitoring and follow-up actions to prevent reuploads and ensure long-term protection.

Outcome:

“[Client Name] scam” went from two Reddit attack threads in positions #1 and #2 with no AI Overview – to a fully reframed page 1 where Google’s AI Overview proactively debunks the allegations and 7 of 10 organic results are brand-controlled assets.

Google's AI Overview now active - proactively addresses and debunks the scam narrative before the user reads a single organic result

Dedicated attack subreddit (r/[ClientNameBotched]) pushed entirely off page 1

Video carousel fully owned - 4 branded YouTube videos dominating visual real estate

Rhinoplasty London, LinkedIn, Substack, Instagram, Vimeo, and Quora assets now control the page
