Enter your email address, tick the box agreeing to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, and click "Continue".
Open the verification email PeopleConnect sends and follow its link to continue.
Provide the information requested to find your Background Report and confirm your identity: your full name, date of birth, and a phone number or email address you can verify.
Set suppression rules for your Background Report on TruthFinder and its sister people search sites.
What it asks you to verify
You first verify an email address through a link. TruthFinder then asks for your full name and date of birth to locate your report, and confirms the match when you show you still have access to one of the phone numbers or email addresses listed in it.

Cost and account
PeopleConnect says the Suppression Tool is free.
What the opt-out covers
Suppression stops your Background Report from being shown when someone searches your name on the PeopleConnect people search sites, including TruthFinder.com, InstantCheckmate.com, Intelius.com and USSearch.com; it does not apply to Classmates.com or to data those sites collect from their users. Your name may still appear in phone, address or email reports, or on registered sex offender lists, and the information stays available from its original sources. PeopleConnect asks you to contact it if you still see your Public Data after using the tool.

Privacy rights you can use
TruthFinder says state privacy laws do not apply to the public data in its reports, and that deleting your User Data does not suppress your Background Report. From October 1, 2026, Connecticut residents can ask by email to delete publicly available information compiled into a consumer profile, giving their full name, date of birth, city and state, and current email. TruthFinder also processes California deletion requests sent through the state's DROP platform, which does not cover publicly available information.

When to get help
When to get help
Opting out of one site rarely clears every listing: the same records appear on sister sites and new profiles can appear later. Media Removal handles data broker removal for executives, public figures, family offices and companies, and reviews each case before recommending a route.
