Protecting the employer brand so unfair or fake reviews do not undo your hiring and retention work.
Candidates read your Indeed Company Page before they apply, and a review from someone who never worked for you, a defamatory claim or a post naming a manager can set the tone for every hire. We report the reviews that break Indeed’s content guidelines through its own channels, and you pay only once the work is done.
Start my Indeed removalWe work with the employer reviewed on Indeed, not with reviewers, and never to find out who wrote a review.

Where the Indeed rating and the first reviews on the Company Page decide how many strong candidates apply.
Leaders named in a review that makes claims about them as fact, beyond their role at the company.
The people who sign off on how the company responds to employee criticism, and need removal work that stays inside the rules.
Indeed company reviews rank on your company name and sit next to every job you post there. A defamatory claim, a review from someone who never worked for you or a post that names a manager can follow the company into every hiring conversation.
Indeed says reviews stay up unless they break its content guidelines, that it does not edit reviews and that only the reviewer can delete their own post. When a review does break the guidelines, Indeed says it removes it within one to two business days, or may redact it, removing the text and keeping the star rating. So how to remove an Indeed review comes down to one question: which guideline does it break, and can you show it?
Not every negative review can come down. Honest criticism of working conditions stays up. These are the cases where Indeed’s guidelines give a ground for removal.
Indeed says reviews may only be written about companies the reviewer works for or has worked for, and allows one review per person, per company.
Reviews may not contain unlawful, fraudulent, libelous or defamatory statements, and Indeed says reviews are not a place to report crimes or make claims of illegal activity.
Threatening statements, discriminatory or abusive statements and slurs, and obscene or otherwise inappropriate material are not allowed.
Personal details about someone outside their role at the company, and non-public or internal company information, do not belong in a review.
Attempts to make factual claims about the company instead of sharing an experience, legal claims, calls for action against the company and someone else’s words.
Indeed says it may remove reviews if there is evidence the reviewer was paid, or forced or pressured to post. That applies to positive reviews too.
An employee review is not a customer review. Labor law protects some of what employees say about their work, and it shapes how an employer can respond. This is general information, not legal advice.
Section 7 of the National Labor Relations Act gives covered employees the right to engage in concerted activities for mutual aid or protection. The NLRB says activity is concerted when it is engaged in with or on the authority of other employees, and includes circumstances where a single employee seeks to initiate, induce or prepare for group action. [1]
Under Section 8(a)(1), the NLRB lists employer conduct that interferes with those rights, such as threatening employees with adverse consequences, coercively questioning them about their own or coworkers’ union activities, or maintaining work rules that reasonably tend to inhibit employees from exercising their rights under the Act. Indeed’s own policy also says employers should not try to identify the author of a review. [1] [3]
Under Section 230, a provider of an interactive computer service is not treated as the publisher or speaker of information provided by someone else. Indeed’s Terms of Service say it may disclose user content and account information in response to subpoenas, court orders or warrants, and that a poster’s identity may be discoverable that way even if they posted anonymously. [2] [4]
Each engagement combines the services the case needs. These are the ones that most often sit next to Indeed.

Health consultant · Confidential client
The same method on another review platform. A health consulting program had the documentation to show its low reviews were false or left by people who had never used it, but its own flags stalled. Over two to three months, 50 to 60 of them came down, while a compliant positive-review system captured genuine client feedback.
A confidential process built on Indeed’s content guidelines, from the first review to a confirmed result.
We read every review you send us against Indeed’s guidelines and tell you which ones have a ground for removal, which may only be redacted and which will stay up.
For each eligible review we document the ground: no record of the reviewer as an employee, a second review from the same person, a defamatory claim, a threat or personal details.
We report each review through the Report review option and the Company Page Appeals form, with the guideline and the evidence for each one, and the EU form where it applies.
Indeed says it will not update you about the outcome, so we check each review ourselves, document the result and watch the Company Page for new posts.
Our clients are confidential, so these show how employer review platforms work, plus the references our team publishes.

Send your questionFind the review on your Company Page, select the three dots and choose Report review, pick the best reason and submit. Employers can also report a review that does not follow the guidelines through Indeed’s Company Page Appeals form. Indeed says it reviews the content and, if it breaks the guidelines, removes it within one to two business days. You do not need a claimed Company Page to report.
Only when it breaks the guidelines, whoever wrote it. Indeed says reviews stay up unless they violate its content guidelines, and honest criticism of working conditions stays up. A review with defamatory statements, threats, abuse, personal details or internal company information can be reported, and Indeed may remove it or redact the text and keep the star rating.
We do not try, and you should not either. Indeed’s policy says employers should not try to identify the author, and labor law protects some employee activity about working conditions. Indeed’s Terms of Service say it may disclose account information in response to subpoenas or court orders, which is a decision for your lawyers and the courts.
Indeed says it will not update you about the outcome, so the first step is checking whether the review is still live. If it is, we look at whether another guideline applies and whether the evidence can be stronger. In the EU, Indeed lets users complain about a moderation decision within six months.
Yes, with a claimed Company Page: select Add a Comment on the review. Responses are visible to everyone and Indeed may remove a response that breaks its policy, so keep it calm, factual and free of anything that points to who the author might be.
No. Content removal is billed only when the URL is verified offline, with no retainer and no setup fee. Where Indeed is more likely to redact a review than remove it, we tell you in the free review. Every client signs an NDA, and so do we.
Send us the links to the Indeed reviews damaging your company and we review them for free: which guideline each one breaks, how removable it is and a clear plan. You pay only after it is removed.
